Lauren Frias, 16, will be a senior at Glenbrook South High School in Glenview, Illinois, where she is editor-in-chief of the school’s newspaper, The Oracle. Alongside her school publication, Lauren works as an editorial intern for the local newspaper, The Glenview Lantern, and has won several journalism competitions in copy editing, column writing and features writing on regional, state and national levels. Having found a passion for journalism during freshman year, she is excited to continue in print journalism studies at a highly-acclaimed journalism school after she graduates in 2016. Lauren diversifies her activities aside from journalism by being a member of the GBS drumline, Key Club, Peer Group and a local taekwondo dojo, AKYI Martial Arts.
